FAQ
Ortho K - Vikash Optometrist

Orthokeratology or ortho-k is the use of specially designed contact lenses to temporarily reshape the cornea to improve and correct your vision.

It’s like orthodontics for your eyes and the treatment is often compared to dental braces.

Simply Put, The Lenses Work As You Sleep And During The Day You Have No Need For Spectacle Or Contact Lens Use!

Who can use Orthokerathology lenses:

  • Ortho k lenses are ideal for adults and children
  • If you want freedom from spectacles and contact lenses
  • If laser corrective surgery is not an option
  • People who play sport especially contact sports and water sports
  • Management of progressive myopia
  • People working in dusty or dirty environments
  • Mild dry eyes where this interferes with the use of soft contact lenses
