How often should I have an eye exam?

If you are under 18 or over 40 years old, you should get tested annually. For other ages, testing is advised at least every year or two.

About how long does an eye exam last?

An eye exam takes between 30-45 minutes.

Is your practice wheelchair friendly?

Yes. Both our practice rooms and equipment are fully accessible for patients in wheelchairs.

How far in advance should I book an appointment?

We have no time restrictions for appointments. Our friendly staff will accommodate you on our nearest available time slot. We are open Monday to Friday between 8:30 AM and 5 PM, and between 8:30 AM and 12 PM on Saturday.

When should my child have his/her first eye exam?

Technically, your child’s first eye exam should be at 6 years of age. However, if you are suspicious or concerned about your child’s vision for any reason, your child should be tested earlier.

Do you provide testing for driver licence eye test certificates?

Yes, we do. Please remember to bring in your ID for the appointment.

Do you offer emergency eye services?

This would depend on the nature of the emergency. Generally, an Ophthalmologist would attend to these. However, if you visit my rooms and the nature of the injury is beyond my scope of work, I will refer you the appropriate Ophthalmologist.

Do you offer a warranty on spectacles?

Yes, all our spectacle frames carry a comprehensive 1-year warranty at no extra cost. There is no warranty on spectacle lenses.

With regards to Covid, am I safe at your practice

Yes, we are fully compliant with all Covid safety guidelines.
